What is Podiatric Medicine?
Podiatry is the medical specialty that focuses on conditions affecting musculo-skeletal, vascular, neurological and dermatological systems of the foot. these conditions may be the result of disease, injury or genetic defects. In some cases, they can be treated with medications, physical therapy, and orthotic devices, while in other cases, they may require surgical management.
Bunion is..... inflammation of the synovial bursa of the great toe, usually resulting in enlargement of the joint and lateral displacement of the toe.
Morton's Neuroma is...... a painful condition that affects the ball of your foot, most commonly the area between your third and fourth toes. Morton's neuroma may feel as if you are standing on a pebble in your shoe or on a fold in your sock.
Hammer Toe is.....Hammertoe and mallet toe are two foot deformities that occur most often in women who wear high heels or shoes with a narrow toe box. These types of footwear may force your toes against the front of the shoe, causing an unnatural bending.

Ingrown Toe Nail.....An ingrown toenail is a common condition in which the corner or side of one of your toenails grows into the soft flesh of that toe. The result is pain, redness, swelling and, sometimes, an infection. An ingrown toenail usually affects your big toe.
